some more insignificant thoughts

By benbam

I foresee that this new year will be tough, in the economy of oz and even tougher for sā€™pore. I was brought to attention that oz has much-accumulated wealth from families, on par like many sg families. The old saying the predecessors planted the trees for their descendants to cool under it. This aside, itā€™s good to explore and setup business in less developed countries, when trade war started between china and usa, it was Vietnam who benefitted. one personā€™s meat is anotherā€™s poison. This is based on my little understanding of the countries, just a suggestion maybe for myself. itā€™s already happening. many retail stores in oz is winding up, big and old names, I donā€™t think it was this bad before, rentals are exhausting the profits, eventually, making not enough to cover. Hopefully, there is some light at the end of the tunnel. All these mayhem also probably due to banks cutting down on loans, people are left with less cash in hand. The nature of biting the bullet for preventing the bubble from bursting, I think the oz government who has the stats are getting wary.

Prices in Singapore will be inflated when sgd loses some value soon. Already high costs of living will be even higher. Ā The only way to sustain for those who can, used to be flipping properties, can try investing in small food businesses, not those exorbitant rental kind in marina bay. Brick and mortar local businesses will not be able thrive cosā€™ of high operating costs. main dependence on quality labour who are hungrier than the locals seem to be the only way to go. Itā€™s better to be contrary when you see s’pore government encouraging companies to do business in china, it is already long overdue since china opened up, the pie remaining may not be enough for all, something which I observed is that if people my age are contented with driving a taxi in s’pore, by all meansā€¦ otherwise, move out of the country to explore. This is the trend in china, young and educated are moving out of china to study and work, may or may not return. even in Beijing capital, the native locals are outnumbered by other compatriots from other provinces, meaning to say, I see this shall be how sā€™pore will turn out to be eventually, good jobs will be taken over by hungrier and more diligent foreigners.

The circumstances which I was in previously have instilled some negativity in the local businesses in sg. Of course, those who are more street smart and know who to lean on, will be taken care of by the ā€œinvisible handsā€. Nothing to envy about cosā€™ itā€™s really not normal, a difficult time to be a leeder in sg.

New year, new things, good time to shred the unhappy memories. I shanā€™t follow too much into sā€™pore news anymore. Itā€™s a form of digital disturbance via insinuation of people and matter if you pay attention to details. I used to be nosy and interested in the current affairs but I must make it a point to stay away from the hassle of analyzing and at times, over thinking and correctly guessed whatā€™s going on. Leave it to the elites, itā€™s not my job. I find myself distancing from blood brother cosā€™ many things I disagree with, itā€™s not I donā€™t care but I am just a statistics number to them, a sā€™porean with pr status. Moreover, they are better equipped with latest and their top secret to make any decision, they know what is best and bigger peanuts for themselves, their circle and affiliates, and smaller nuts for the people or the country, frank opinion, not too bad, at least there are nuts for the rest. šŸ˜Š
