about… donations to charities!

wonder if you guys noticed that some charities set a minimum of $10/- for donations?!
setting a bar to do good…?! literally means that being a good guy is difficult! lol!
i have been giving the petty amount of $5 to various charities over the years and i find that setting a minimum in the excuse of administrative charges for credit card transactions is absurd! 
charities can always ask donators to cover the % of surcharge which is not much.
setting minimum for donations actually put away people who are willing to give but are not so well off. 
besides, removing the minimum can encourage people to give more often and to many more charities.
i received marketing emails soliciting donations almost on a daily basis.
i also found out that in general, only about 60% of the donation goes into the good cause and the rest of the portion goes into the pay pocket of these goodwill crusaders. so for now… i won’t be ignorant and will only give my penny to a few that i think deserve my help.
